About Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron

The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron is the home of the America's Cup, founded in 1871 and based at Westhaven Marina at the foot of the Harbour Bridge. Its clubroom is also hired out for events, including weddings, gala dinners, cocktail parties and conferences.

Spaces range from a ballroom for up to 400 guests to the Dinghy Locker for 150, the North Lawn for 130, the Quarterdeck for 125 and the Commodore's Room for 80. Sun-drenched decks and floor-to-ceiling windows look over the marina, the Waitemata Harbour and the city skyline.

Custom menus, beverages and audio-visual gear are available, and members can access discounts on venue space. Wheelchair accessible parking, entrance, seating and restroom are listed, along with a hearing loop.
