About The Officers Mess, Fort Takapuna
The Officers Mess at Fort Takapuna is a family-owned wedding and event venue, run by Warren and Fiona since 2012, in a heritage building on the clifftop at Narrow Neck Beach. The building was extensively renovated in 2013 and keeps its historic character, with natural light throughout and panoramic views of the Hauraki Gulf and Rangitoto.
Couples choose from three outdoor ceremony sites, and a large deck and open green spaces suit pre-dinner drinks and lawn games. Every booking has exclusive hire of the venue.
It seats up to 170 for dinner and 250 for a standing cocktail party, with 100 secure overnight parking spots and no sound restrictions for music. The Devonport ferry is minutes away.
Wine, champagne, beer and spirits are on offer, a BYO drinks option is available, and couples are welcome to bring in their own vendors. Rated 4.6 from 245 Google reviews, 173 of them five stars.
